Abell Galaxy Clusters (30 Photos)
Here is a link to some information about the Abell Galaxy Clusters collection. I have posted two images for each target. On the left is a photo of the cluster. On the right is a plate solved image that maps the galaxies in the vicinity. I have annotated the left photo with one prominent galaxy or star that can be located in the plate solved image to see how the two compare and to help locate and identify the many galaxies in the cluster. For more on plate solving see the Notes section for this program. The data beneath each pair of photos identifies the target by catalog, the telescope used, the date and the time of the exposure (UTC), and the length of the exposure.
