Host Galaxy 7 — NGC 4395 (5 XGOs)
Photo (Click to enlarge): Slooh Canary 3, taken on 2024-04-15 at 22:45 UTC.
This is a very poor shot, taken from Slooh Canary 3 in marginal conditions. However, the image does record the faint cluster of stars and nebulosity around the galaxy NGC 4395. Using Huey, Extrgalactic Objects Within Host Galaxies (plus Sky Safari) I was able to identify three other NGC objects in the image, all bright nebulas: NGC 4399, NGC 4400, and NGC 4401. In addition, the Huey notes the presence of two H II regions referenced as as RBD96 72, 73, and 74 and RBD96 67 and 68.
After a bit of research (using AI) I was able to track down the RBD96 identifiers. They come from this article: in Roy, J.-R., Belley, J., Dutil, Y., & Martin, P. (1996), “The O/H Distribution in the Low-Mass Galaxies NGC 2366 and NGC 4395,” The Astrophysical Journal, volume 460, page 284 ff. I was able to get a pdf of the article and unfortunately, the objects it describes are not identified by RA and Dec coordinates. Hence, to annotate the photo I had to rely on Huey as well as an annotated photograph that appears here:https://cseligman.com/text/atlas/ngc44.htm
